The Story Behind KalmKo

KalmKo all started with a headache.

I’ve always suffered from headaches, so I would usually keep a water bottle next to my bed at night. One night, I woke up with a headache and reached over for my water, but then realised I needed some Nurofen. So, half asleep, I had to get out of bed, turn the lights on and start searching around for my medication. Of course, waking myself up and rummaging around only made the headache feel worse.

And then I had a lightbulb moment.

I thought, “Wouldn’t it be so much easier if my water bottle had somewhere to keep my medication?”

I started thinking about all the other little things I’m constantly looking for throughout the day, like keys, AirPods, snacks and other everyday essentials, and wondered why a water bottle couldn’t do more than just hold water.

That one late night idea became the beginning of KalmKo.

I set out to create a water bottle that was not only designed to keep you hydrated, but also had a clever little storage space for the things you need close by. What started from a frustrating moment in the middle of the night has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of, a product designed to make everyday life a little easier, more organised and, hopefully, a little calmer.

And that’s how KalmKo was born.
